BP.CH3111: Submission on 2009 compulsory purchase application by Kerry County Council for L-1010 Road Improvement Scheme from Tarbert / Ballylongford Landbank to Tarbert for the proposed Shannon LNG project.

On 5th November 2009, 'Safety Before LNG' prepared a submission to An Bord Pleanla on the compulsory purchase application for road widening to the proposed Shannon LNG Terminal.

An oral hearing was called by An Bord Pleanla. 'Safety Before LNG' prepared a submission for the oral hearing, which we always assumed would go ahead because of earlier objections at the Shannon LNG terminal hearing into road transport issues.

However, as two objectors to the current application removed their objection the board cancelled the oral hearing and the decision was automatically closed. It would have required a legal challenge on the issue to pursue this any further.
